The targeted grants are intended for educational institutions in Helsinki providing basic arts education that also provide weighted-curriculum music education in the form of music clubs. The grants are intended for music club activities for pupils in weighted-curriculum music education in 2024–2026. The music club activities must be integrated into the pupils’ school day, and the service provider’s teachers must handle the teaching.
When assessing the activities, attention is paid to how the club activities are integrated into the activities of the comprehensive school, and how this cooperation is integrated into the action plan and curriculum of the comprehensive school. Attention is also paid to the number of hours per week and year, as well as expenses and the number of pupils participating in the service provider’s activities. The assessment also examines the financial prerequisites of the service provider and the service provider’s professional competence, and the expenses related to the management of the activities.
The applications must be submitted no later than Thursday, September 28th 2023 at 16.00 and they will be processed at meeting of Culture and Library Sub-committee in November 2023.
Apply for the grant in the City of Helsinki's e-service. You can save the application as a draft and come back to fill it out later. Your application is saved in your own case folder.
Send your application no later than at 16.00 on the last day of the application period. Support is not granted for applications submitted after the set time. It is better to send the application already before the application deadline, as the service may then be overloaded.
